De Hoolter Daânsers
Welcome !
The Hoolter Daânsers are a dance group which performs folkloric dances in traditional clothing.
We have around 40 different dances in our repertoire, such as the famous Rozenwals and the Parisian polka. But also the typically Dutch ‘Klompendans’ (the Wooden Shoe dance) and a local favourite called “Donder’n in ‘t heui”. A couple of dances have been blended into a unique medley.
In this way many authentic folkloric dances are presented in a short time.
All of our performances are always tailored to your wishes. A lot is possible in consultation. For example, dancing together with an audience, with or without our white clogs. A great experience for both young and old. Children won’t believe their eyes!
A clothing show is an additional possibility, with clear explanations about the culture and customs when wearing this clothing in 1920.
Or, what about a dance workshop? Dancing together is fun and good for your health!
We are registered in the Cultural Education Guide for primary education of the municipality of Rijssen-Holten. We give dance workshops to primary school pupils. We work together with the Oudheidkamer Holten, which is an institute for the preservation of local historical artefacts and culture.
